Celebrating with Drag Queens
Today, marked the final day of a 4-day extravaganza that was the passage into my 30s. It started on my birthday, last Thursday, and rolled right through today. It included running and drinking and yoga and sushi and late nights and laughter and friendship and great shared moments. Today, it culminated when I gathered with nine of my friends for a drag queen brunch.

Yep, I felt the best way to celebrate, to say Hello World - I’m 30!!, was to attend a show where the men dress as women and sing to you while you drink mimosas and eat a plethora of food.
So we gathered, my dear friends and I.

And we ate a hodge podge of delicious food: waffles, salad, sushi, scrambled eggs, vegetable lasagna, soup, chocolate, breads, mimosas and bloody marys. We ate and we drank and we laughed and we were entertained.

And that was the finale of my 30th birthday. A weekend-long celebration to kick off what is sure to be one helluva year for me.

Drag queens before noon? That’s dedication.

I would have dressed in drag for you!! But nobody wants to see that…
I loooove drag brunch–I live a block away from Perry’s and end up going there a few times a year. Once, I even got pulled into the, um, interactive finale number.
