Resolutions, Then and Now
When I rang in 2008, I made the following resolutions:
~ Accept my new status as a single girl
~ Work on my writing
~ Get my blog up and running smoothly
I am happy to report I have successfully completed these resolutions. I have definitely accepted my life as a single girl and I am having a grand time exploring this mad world of dating. So much fun that I’m taking a short break from it. Haha.
My writing has moved forward and I now have a few, small, freelance writing gigs. Not enough to quit my day job, but hey it’s a start. And I’m reworking my manuscript so I can resubmit it and perhaps snag a publisher.
And my blog is fully up and running though I never figured out how to migrate my old archives over. Oh well, they can rest where they are, floating safely in the internet.
But with those resolutions done and a new year upon us, it’s time for some new resolutions. Here are my goals for 2009:
~ Be able to do a pull-up or two or five. Really, I think it’s pathetic that I can’t do even one.
~ Run 1,000 miles in 2009. Sounds like a lot, but it’s just shy of 20 miles a week, which should be pretty easy for me.
~ Save up half the cost of my Antarctica trip (half is approximately $3,500).
~ Visit Mel (already on the calendar for October when I travel to Michigan to attend her and Dan’s wedding!).
~ Stop picking my nails. Really, it’s such a disgusting habit, tearing at the skin and nails till I have nubs of fingernails and often till I bleed. I really must stop.
That’s it for me, those are my resolutions for 2009. What are yours?

Antarctica? Damn hard to run there!
Antarctica? Freaking brrr…..
I can’t believe we’ll visit with each other TWICE this year.
Best way I found to stop biting your nails is to pay to have them done. I started this a couple years back and have had but one slip up since then!! Give it a whirl!
