In honor of Mother’s Day, a recent conversation with my mom:
Me: “Mom, I need your social security number.”
Mom: “Why?”
Me: “Just give it to me. And be nice or I’ll just put dad as my beneficiary.”
Mom: “Oh, is that what you need it for?”
Me: “Yes.” She recites it to me. “Thanks. You’re secondary anyway.”
